Named after one of the most iconic baseball stadiums in the country, Wrigleyville is home to the Chicago Cubs. Originally Weeghman Park, the stadium opened its doors during World World I with a capacity of 14,000. By the time it was renamed Wrigley Field in 1926, its capacity had grown nearly threefold, and it boasted new features like an upper deck, a bleacher section, and an Art Deco marquee. Today, the surrounding neighborhood reflects the spirited atmosphere of the “Friendly Confines” with bars, restaurants, hotels, and rooftop views aplenty.
